Wow.  I just looked up the national average for rates and yields on CD's and savings accounts in the US.  The news is brutally painful.  (See below).  Less than 1% on a 1 yr. CD ?!?!?!?  How about 1.16% on a 2 yr. CD ?!?!?!?  I don't know about you, but those rates are just unacceptable.  Especially when compared with raw land opportunities at Grand Belizean Estates.  If you were one of several hundred people who bought a lot(s) within the last 6-12 months, then you have already enjoyed 40-50% appreciation on your land.  And hat is ahead or the real appreciation to come when electricity is connected to the subdivision.  Average lot prices for any land in or around San Pedro with road access and electricity start at $40,000 US.  That compares to current availability at GBE starting at $12,500 US.

For many, the one concern or hesitation they have with investing in vacant land is the annual carrying costs.  Particularly if you are used to high property taxes in parts of the US or Canada.  The great news for lots owners at Grand Belizean Estates is that Belize real estate has very low property taxes.  Try approx. $25 to $50 per year.  In fact, if you purchase your lot(s) before April 15, 2011 and request the "TAX SAVINGS DSCOUNT", we'll cover the cost of your property taxes for 2011.  You can take that offer to the bank!
